General Booking Terms

Tunturi Medical Center’s appointment booking service operates at all our clinics – in Levi, Ruka, Saariselkä, and Pyhä.

Appointments can be booked by phone, via online booking, or by arriving directly at the clinic during opening hours. Walk-ins without a prior appointment are also possible for urgent trauma cases.

When you book an appointment, you agree to these booking terms. They have been drawn up to ensure patient safety and smooth service.

Booking Confirmation

The booking is confirmed immediately upon making the appointment. Electronic booking requires providing contact details – a phone number and email address – so that we can send a booking confirmation and potential reminders. If the booking is made by phone, confirmation is given verbally.

The booking applies to the selected clinic and service and cannot be automatically transferred to another location without separate agreement.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge at least 24 hours before the appointment.

Cancellations can be made by phone or email by contacting the specific clinic where the appointment was booked.

If the booked appointment is not cancelled in time or the client fails to arrive without notification, we charge 50% of the price of the booked service. This policy is based on the fact that uncancelled appointments prevent other patients from receiving the care they need.

Arriving for trauma urgent care or emergency treatment does not require an appointment, and these visits are not subject to cancellation terms.

Late Arrival

If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to ensure the consultation can still take place. However, please note that arriving late may shorten the available consultation time or lead to the appointment being rescheduled.

A partial fee may be charged for an appointment cancelled due to lateness.

Payment Terms and Insurance

Payment for the visit is made on-site using cash, debit card, or credit card.

  • Finnish Residents: Tunturi Medical Center is part of the Kela direct reimbursement system, so eligible residents receive the reimbursement deduction automatically upon presenting a Kela card.
  • Travel Insurance: If the treatment is covered by insurance, we assist in filling out the necessary insurance forms.
  • Invoicing is possible by separate agreement, for example, for corporate clients or treatments covered directly by insurance companies.

Clinic-Specific Conditions

All our clinics are seasonal, and their opening hours may vary according to the season.

If a clinic is closed and a booked appointment falls during that time, we will contact the client as soon as possible to offer an alternative appointment at the nearest open clinic.

Privacy and Client Registry

Personal data provided during booking is processed confidentially and in compliance with data protection legislation.

The information is used solely for arranging treatment, communication, and maintaining patient records. Tunturi Medical Center does not disclose data to third parties without a legal basis.
